Mark White unveils campaign Endorsements
Republican leader and small business owner Mark White today unveiled an extensive list of elected officials and community leaders endorsing his candidacy for State Representative in House District 83. Former Representative Brian Kelsey resigned from this seat yesterday to focus on his campaign for the State Senate.
“Everyone I speak with from community leaders to ordinary citizens says the same thing: they don’t want to see the mess in Washington creep into state government. People want to see Nashville live within its means. They want taxes to remain low and government to be run like a business. That’s why I’m running for State Representative,” remarked White.
White is a small business advocate who currently chairs the local chapter of the National Federation of Independent Business. He is a former teacher and principal once named “teacher of the year.” He is founder and Director of the Global Children’s Educational Foundation, which helps children living in poverty gain a meaningful education.
White has been married 28 years. He and his wife, Kathy, have one daughter and two grandsons. He is a graduate of the University of Memphis and member of the Church of Christ.
